Synthimental was founded in 2011 in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich, Germany from the musicans and producers Paul Greyman and Pete Gold. They worked together for years in different projects. Because of their common passion for vintage synthesizer sounds, they decided to create this project. The gain is to create a new combination of sounds with vintage 80s synthies and modern trance elements. Our songs are all produced and mixed in the bmc-music studios in Fürstenfeldbruck. If you have a songidea and you want to have it produced, don't hesitate to contact us, we are always openminded for co-productions. Bmc-music is a good partner for any kind of audio productions.

Paul Greyman was born in 1967 in the beautiful Sauerland region. After his parents moved, he came to Munich when he was only one year old. There he received piano lessons from the tender age of 6. His father, a jazz bassist in his spare time, and his mother, a member of the Philharmonic Choir, brought in many different musical currents and records, and Paul began to absorb everything. At the age of 11 he was already playing his own boogie improvisations at the annual piano recital. At 13 he discovered the drums and taught himself. In his youth, he found comrades-in-arms for his first combo, which performed at church festivals. Out of the church band he changed to countless cover bands. Besides the many live gigs, his hobbyhorse was and still is recording. With a four-track recorder it started. After his studies he was still working as a product manager A&R at Polyband, in marketing at Entertainment Media Verlag, and then, together with his brother, himself a singer and artist, he got hold of an author publishing company at BMG UfA. Further collaborations as producer/writer followed with Andy Knote (Digimon/DragonballZ), PrivateStar, Warner, Campus, many remixes for DJs and many more. Today Paul works as a freelance music producer for radio commercials, bands and the electrodance project Synthimental with Pete.

Pete Gold, born in Munich in 1975, started piano lessons at the age of 5 and bought his first mixing console at the age of 13. From then on he started to build up a big record and CD collection and soon he got his first 1210 from Technics. Soon his first DJ jobs took him to various youth centers in Munich. In addition, he was regularly on the road at concerts, highlights were certainly the concert of the Beastie Boys in the Theaterfabrik with subsequent autograph session or the first concert of Fanta4 in Munich in the youth center Fürstenried West also with subsequent autograph session. As a school friend of DJ Tomcraft at the Dante Gymnasium he experienced his first DJ jobs in Munich. During the school vacations he worked in the Olympic Stadium as a local crew member at big open-air concerts (Genesis, U2, Westernhagen and others). During this time he discovered his love for rock music and learned to play the electric guitar. He then played guitar and vocals in various bands (Spinal Cure, South Exile, Seven Towers, Heartland) But the synth sounds of the 80s never really let him go and so he founded the project Synthimental together with Paul Greyman.
